Oak Harbor girls place fourth in Whidbey Shootout

The girls golf team hit the links when they hosted the Whidbey Shootout at Whidbey Golf Club.

Oak Harbor’s girls golf team hit the links March 18 when they hosted the Whidbey Shootout at Whidbey Golf Club.

The Wildcats placed fourth in the team competition against 15 teams. Jackson placed first, Liberty second, and Kamiak placed third.

Addison Nations led Oak Harbor shooting 13-over-par 85, which tied her for seventh place. Hailey Jensen and Scarlet Nations shot 23-over-par and Reagan Syring shot 25-over-par.

Oak Harbor’s week continued March 19 where they competed in a Northwest Conference match at Sudden Valley Golf and Country Club in Bellingham against seven other conference schools.

The Wildcats earned the lowest score as a team shooting 232. In nine holes, Addison Nations shot a 43, Scarlett Nations shot a 44, Jensen shot 46, Syring shot a 48 and Annalise Wesley shot a 51.

The girls golf season continues March 25 when they travel to Semiahmoo Golf Club in Blaine.
