Archbishop Murphy High school scored nine runs in the top of the third inning and went on to defeat the Coupeville softball team 16-2 in a Cascade League game Wednesday afternoon.

The game was called after five inning on the 10-run rule.

Holding a 4-0 lead, the Tigers jumped on Wolf Pack pitcher Alexis Trumbull in the top of the third inning to put the game away.

The Tigers had 13 hits in the game.

Archbishop Murphy hurler Brittany Allen gave up one hit and struck out 14 in her five-inning sting on the mound.
