Meadowdale beats Wildcats / Tennis

Oak Harbor dropped its home opener 5-2 to the Meadowdale tennis team Monday, Sept. 10.

The Wildcats’ points were earned by Micah Franklin (6-4, 6-4) and Ezra Franklin (6-1, 6-1) in third and fourth singles.

In other singles play, Nick Frantz (6-0, 6-1) and Nathaniel Thompson (6-4, 6-3) lost.

In doubles, Ridgely Briddell/Elsian Atienza (6-2, 6-2); Samuel Peek/Nathan Merrill (2-6, 6-2, 6-4); and Ethan Snell/Kyle Brown (6-4, 6-1) lost.

Oak Harbor (1-1) hosts Marysville-Pilchuck (2-1) at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12.
