Coupeville’s Kyle King placed 23rd at the 35th running of the Bloomsday Run in Spokane May 1.
King, 21, ran the 12K course in 37:26 to place in the top 25 out of over 50,000 runners in a race that attracts many of the world’s top distance runners.
He recorded the second fastest time by a runner from Washington state and finished fifth in his age group, 19-22.
