Harris named Wildcats’ MVP | Boys basketball

Junior Dyllan Harris topped the list of winners when the Oak Harbor High School boys basketball team received its letters and special awards last week.
Harris was selected as the Wildcats’ Most Valuable Player and was named to the all-Wesco 3A North second team.
Harris led the division in scoring with a 20.7 per-game average, more than five points higher than the runner-up.
Along with Harris, players receiving varsity letters were seniors Zach Jones, Christopher Viers, Jake Sturdevant, David Ray, Ben Fikse and Anthony Powell; juniors Preston Rankin, Sean Erskine, Diangelo McKinney, Bryce Diras and Savion Hollins-Passmore; and sophomore Josh Cote.
Jones was named the team’s Most Inspirational Player and earned all-Wesco North honorable mention.
Other special awards went to Erskine, Intensity Player of the Year; Hollins-Passmore, Mr. Defense; and Fikse, Servant Leadership Award.
