Mountlake Terrace scored seven runs in the final two innings to unknot a 2-2 game and defeat Oak Harbor 9-2 at Hillcrest Elementary School Tuesday, April 12.

Wildcat coach Jess Weikle said, “We played good ball through five innings, but weren’t mentally tough enough when we got into trouble. We must learn to overcome our errors, pick ourselves up and take advantage of our scoring opportunities.”

It was a rough game all-around for Oak Harbor as the Wildcats committed 10 errors, left 10 runners on base and struck out nine times.

Oak Harbor scored both its runs in the bottom of the first with the help of a Shawna Steele home run; the Hawks tied it up with single runs in the second and fourth.
