Boyer leads Cougars / Middle school cross country

North Whidbey’s Addisen Boyer won the seventh-grade girls race at a three-school middle school cross country meet Wednesday, Sept. 18, at Fort Nugent Park.

Boyer’s win highlighted the efforts of Cougar runners who took part in seventh- and eighth-grade races for girls and boys against Anacortes and Burlington-Edison.

Team scores were not provided.

The best finishes by North Whidbey runners in the other races were recorded by Ethan Bazar, second in the seventh-grade boys race; Carly VanGiesen, second in the eighth-grade girls race; and Aaron French, fourth in the eighth-grade boys race.
