The Wildcat United cross country team hosted its final home meet of the year Thursday, Oct. 16, and, once again, the seventh-grade girls dominated the day.

The Wildcat United cross country team hosted its final home meet of the year Thursday, Oct. 16, and, once again, the seventh-grade girls dominated the day.

Wildcat United is the combined team of Oak Harbor and North Whidbey middle schools.

The seventh-grade girls placed six runners among the top 10 in the six-team meet.

Jenny Danielson collected her third win of the season in four races, running a 10:41. She was followed by Charlotte Shelor (fourth, 11:27), Leielle Salinger (fifth, 11:36), Addy Day (sixth, 11:46), Cat Wicker (seventh, 12) and Patti Miessner (10th, 12:12).

Natalie Hahn (eighth-grade girls, sixth, 12:11), Lincoln Bassett (seventh-grade boys, third, 10:10) and Dylan Rydell (eighth-grade boys, second, 10:02) recorded the best finishes by Wildcat United in the other three races.
