Suzanne April “Sam” (Myers) Facendo, 48, of Hopewell, Junction, N.Y., died Aug. 30, 2007 at the home of her parents in Coupeville. She was born in San Diego on April 21, 1959 to Sam and Jan (Doss) Myers. She grew up in her family’s home near Coupeville and graduated from Coupeville High School in 1977.

In 1979, Suzanne moved to Mount Vernon, N.Y., and went to work for Chase Manhattan Bank. In July of 1981, Suzanne married Albert L. Facendo of Mount Vernon, N.Y. Suzanne and Albert divorced in 1996. Suzanne never remarried.

Suzanne went to work for Chase Manhattan Bank as a teller and advanced to assistant vice president of field office management. She held that office until her passing.

Her parents, Sam and Jan Myers of Coupeville, her sisters, Christi and husband Jim Aus of Oak Harbor and Sherri Brown and husband Rob of Coupeville, survive Suzanne. One niece, Tiffany Folkestad of Granite Falls, and two nephews, Brian Folkestad of Coupeville and Sean Brown of Ellensburg, also survive.

Cremation was held with a private family celebration of life to follow. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in her name. Arrangements entrusted to Burley Funeral Chapel.

Suzanne was much loved by her family and friends and will be truly missed.
