Roy Wendell Evans, 95, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2005 at the Bailey Manor Adult Family Home in Auburn, Wash. Roy was born May 20, 1909 in Steilacomb, Wash.

Their is an old Native American saying: “When it is all said and done, and a man is on his final leg, his wealth is not measured in what he can hold in his hand, but in his memories.” When it came to that final moment, Dad looked up at me and smiled. I knew then, that he was the richest man in the world.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Roy on Sunday, June 5, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Masonic Lodge in Coupeville. Bring your memories.
