Pauline Kline

Pauline Kline slipped the debilitating grasp of Parkinson’s disease on Aug. 25, 2011. Born the eldest daughter to Emma and Russel Myers on April 21, 1932, in Bellingham, she graduated from Bellingham High School in 1950 and attended Saint Joseph’s School of Nursing.

She met and married J.C. Kline in 1952. During her life as a Navy wife, she lived for a time in Coronada and Hanford, Wash., Tall Timbers and Baltimore, Md., with the majority of her life spent in Oak Harbor.

After J.C.’s retirement in 1970, he was employed by NAESU, which took them to the Philippines, Italy, Japan, Yugoslavia, Thailand and Taiwan.

Pauline was a caring and outgoing person, who volunteered with the Red Cross for many years. She enjoyed many hobbies, excelling at them all, with her wedding cake decorating the most memorable. She was the heart of the family and will be sorely missed.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years; their children, Jim and his wife Barbara, Brian and Cynthia; and her grandchildren Aaron, Zoe and Max Grossman.

There will be a service Sunday, Sept. 4, from 2 to 5 p.m. at 1643 NE Sumner Drive. Friends and relatives are welcome.
