Loretta Sue Scott

Loretta Sue Scott, known as Sue to her friends and family, died unexpectedly of an aneurysm Sept. 8, 2008. She was born March 2, 1955, in McCook, Neb., to Frank and Elma Bisbee. She grew up in Portland, Ore., and moved to Oak Harbor with her husband in 1997.

Sue worked in customer service at the Navy Exchange and The Home Depot until her passing.

Her greatest joys were her family, her dog, JoJo, her friends, and her rose garden.

A woman of great patience, she loved wildlife and all things living, large and small. Local deer, squirrels and birds always found tidbits to tide them daily.

Loretta is survived by children Heather Scott of Oak Harbor and William Scott of Oakley, Calif.; special friend Robert Scott of Oak Harbor; grandchildren Evan Scott, Kaela Scott, Abby Scott, and Macie Scott of Oakley; mother Elma Bisbee of Portland; brothers Dan Brown of McCook, NE, George Brown of Portland, and Ralph Bisbee of Warrington, Ore.; and sister Carol Brown of Portland.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, Sept. 20, at 1 p.m. at Burley Funeral Chapel in Oak Harbor with Pastor Cliff Horr officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery in Oak Harbor. Visitation will be on Friday, Sept. 19, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
