Leslie Antone Randall: May 22, 1933 – April 11, 2020

Les, 86, passed away in his Oak Harbor, Wash., home on April 11, 2020 with the love of his life, Delores, and children, at his side.

Les was born in San Jose, Calif., and grew up in Mountain View, Calif., but spent 50 years of his life in Oak Harbor.

Les was a chief petty officer and veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in the Korean War on board the USS Oriskany. He left his mark on the world as a ASE master machinist, NASCAR race car driver in the 1950s and 70s, volunteer firefighter and law enforcement, an artist in sketching, photography and an Industrial Arts Educatory at Oak Harbor High School, and a kiss on the cheek “hello” and “goodbye.”

Les is survived by his wife of 64 years, Delores (Hamlin) Randall; three children, Teresa Montoya (Gene), John Randall (Tina), and Connie Purchase (Tom); brother, Peter Randall; seven grandchildren, Rachel, Jennifer, Ian, and Katie, Chase and Courtney Randall, Vince Purchase; and seven great-grandchildren, Kyleigh, Brooke, Chad, Trent, Stella, Cadin, Emmett.

Les is calm at sea in the Kingdom of Heaven with his parents, Richard and Nellie Randall, and his dog, Poppy.

He will be at peace and rest at Tahoma National Cemetery. Services at the cemetery and a celebration of Les’s life is pending and will be held at a later date.
