Jacob Duane Howard Quistorf

Jake Quistorf, 25, died as the result of a traffic accident north of Oak Harbor Sept. 3, 2010. He was born March 29, 1985, in Coupeville to John Quistorf and Cathy Christiansen. He was raised in Oak Harbor and attended schools here, graduating in 2003 from Oak Harbor High School.

During his time at Oak Harbor High School, Jake took part in one of the early culinary arts programs. He was also interested in accounting, so took several related courses when he attended Skagit College.

Jake was a sports fan who enjoyed football, in particular the Minnesota Vikings. He also enjoyed riding dirt bikes and going fishing.

Jake is survived by his mother, Cathy Christiansen of Manchester, Wash.; his father John Quistorf of Oak Harbor and his sister Crystal Quistorf with niece Ambriah Douglas, whom Jake loved dearly, also of Oak Harbor; grandparents Jenny and Duane Christiansen of Corcoran, Minn.; and many cousins, aunts and uncles who also reside in Minnesota.

A memorial service for Jake will be held at the Oak Harbor Lutheran Church Friday, Sept. 17 at 2 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to Burley Funeral Chapel where family and friends may go online at www.burleyfuneralchapel.com to sign a guest register and leave memories for the family.
