Evelyn Dorothy Perry

Evelyn Dorothy Perry, 92, of Sedro-Woolley, passed away April 12, 2012, at Burton Care Center in Burlington.

She was born Feb. 6, 1920, to Stephen and Edith (Shean) Macias in Pomona, Calif. She married Frederick Perry in Long Beach, Calif., on Feb. 18, 1945. They made their home in Venice, Calif., for many years, moving to and living in Oak Harbor for 35 years, spending the last several years at Country Meadow Village in Sedro-Woolley.

Evelyn was very involved with Las Duenas Charitable Organization in Santa Monica, Calif., and the Venice PTA. She enjoyed dancing professionally. She was an artist, using many different mediums, both painting and working with charcoal. When they lived in Oak Harbor, she attended the Christian Women’s Club and was involved with the Elks Auxiliary.

Evelyn is survived by her daughter Diane and husband Rudolph Villegas of Queen Creek, Ariz.; sister, Frances Cromwell, of Santa Rosa, Calif.; grandsons, James Villegas, Steven and wife Lisa Villegas, and David and wife, Caroline Villegas; and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 64 years, Frederick Perry.
