Esther Marie Anderson, 90, passed away on Jan. 8, 2007, at Regency Harbor Care in Oak Harbor. She was born in Cle Elum, Wash. on April 23, 1916, to John and Francis (Amasso) Giacolino.

On July 31, 1935, she married Marvin E. Anderson in Yakima. Esther moved to Seattle in the early 1940s, and then to Oak Harbor in 2000 to be near her daughter, grandchildren and their families.

She is survived by her son Marvin E. Anderson, Jr. and his wife Lee of Grand Prairie, Texas; daughter Karen F. Crawford and her husband Dick of Oak Harbor; grandchildren Terry Crawford, Steve Anderson, Skip Crawford, and Ron Anderson; seven great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; sister Frankie Wells of Bothell; brother Lester Giacolino of Marysville; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 59 years Marvin E. Anderson, Sr.; sisters Norma Abbott, June Methven, Milli Melius, Margie Pope; brothers Alfred, Eugene, and Edmond Giacolino; and grandson Richard Anderson.

Services will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 13, at Burley Funeral Chapel in Oak Harbor.
