Douglas Wayne Scott, 65, of Oak Harbor, died June 6, 2007.

He had lived in Oak Harbor for more than 30 years, coming here in 1977. He was born Jan. 11, 1942 in Beaumont, Texas.

Douglas served his country in the Navy and retired after 30 years of service. After leaving the military he went to work for L3 Communications for 15 years, working on the Navy base in Oak Harbor in a civilian capacity.

Douglas is survived by his wife, Priscilla M. Scott; son, James W. Scott; two stepchildren, Christina Toombs and Kelly Toombs; and many other family and friends. He will be truly missed for his love, laughter and kindness.

Douglas will be laid to rest at the Greenwood Cemetery on Saturday, July 14, in Spokane.
