Pastor Don Cheadle, 91, of Oak Harbor, died peacefully on Oct. 11, 2009.

Born in West Seattle on Oct. 3, 1918, Don attended the University of Washington, was a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary, an ordained minister, and served as a pastor, teacher, counselor, and chaplain. He had churches in Oak Grove, Ore., La Crosse, Wash, and Blachly, Ore.

Don faithfully served the Lord from his baptism at age 10 until his passing. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great- grandfather.

Don was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Janet Cheadle. He is also survived by his children, Marilyn Stansbury, Robert Cheadle, John Cheadle and Donald (Stuart) Cheadle, by his 10 grandchildren, and his 17 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 24, at 2 p.m. at the Bible Baptist Church (360-675-8311), 1701 Harns Rd., Oak Harbor.
