Carmen Maria Vazquez-Ramos, 78, of Oak Harbor, died March 27, 2006 at her residence at Whidbey Island Manor in Oak Harbor. As the eldest of five children, she was born Nov. 2, 1927 in New York, N.Y., the daughter of Mario and Carmen (Fonseca) Vazquez. Carmen was a very loving and devoted daughter, sister, and mother.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 49 years, Jose M. Ramos. Carmen is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Rachel and Mack Eastburn, Denise Villaramos; son, Michael Ramos; sister and brother-in-law, Irma and Joseph Conte; brothers and sister-in-law, Edward and Carmen Vazquez, Salvador Vazquez, Samuel and Carmen Vazquez; grandchildren, Eric Ramos, Allyson Ramos, Elliott Villareal, Adrian Villareal; and many nieces and nephews.
