Alison (Selene) Brodt: Aug. 9, 1959 – Jan. 26, 2020

Alison (Selene) Brodt passed away suddenly Jan. 26 in her home in Coupeville, Wash., after an extended battle with Multiple Myeloma. Selene was born on Aug. 9, 1959 in Ankara, Turkey to Joan Susan McHugh (Angell) and George William Angell.

Selene grew up in Sudbury, Mass.

Selene moved to Whidbey Island in 1992. She was a strong, caring and compassionate nurse for over 24 years. Selene co-founded Angells on Whidbey Adult Family Home.

Selene lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed fishing, traveling, bird watching, gardening and spending time with her daughters and four wonderful grandchildren.

Selene is survived by her two brothers, George Angell and Fredrick Angell; two daughters, Chrysta Brodt and Kathleen Brodt and their husbands; and four grandchildren, William, Carter, Ally and Fredrick.

Please join us in celebrating her life at Admirals Cove Beach Club House, 75 Keystone Ave., at 1 p.m. Feb. 8. In lieu of flowers please donate to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in her name.
