Twelve athletes were awarded varsity letters at the Coupeville High School tennis awards banquet Thursday, May 21.

Twelve athletes were awarded varsity letters at the Coupeville High School tennis awards banquet Thursday, May 21.

Letters were earned by seniors Jacki Ginnings, Wynter Thorne, Ana Luvera, Ivy Luvera, Haleigh Deasy and Micky LeVine; juniors McKenzie Bailey, Jazmine Franklin and Sydney Autio; sophomores Valen Trujillo and Bree Daigneault; and freshmen McKenzie Meyer, Payton Aparicio and Sage Renninger.

Managers were Joseph Wedekind and John McClarin.

The Luvera sisters were awarded four-year certificates.

Team captains were Ginnings, Thorne, Bailey and Trujillo.

Bailey, Trujillo, Franklin and Autio will be captains in 2016, coach Ken Stange announced.

Ginnings received the Most Valuable Player Award, Deasy was named Most Inspirational, Franklin was selected Most Improved and Bailey earned the Coach’s Award.
