The Coupeville High School football team hit the field last week for its traditional spring camp, setting the stage for next fall’s season.

The camp will end with a scrimmage at 6 p.m. Friday, June 13, when Sedro-Woolley joins Coupeville and Oak Harbor at Wildcat Memorial Stadium.

Wolves’ coach Tony Maggio said 30 athletes are attending the Coupeville camp.

The camp “gives our new kids time to adjust to high school football and our existing group a chance to improve their skills,” he said.

“We are just trying to get our fundamentals down and continue to improve our defense,” he added.
