The Coupeville High School soccer team will try to keep its season alive when it meets Bellevue Christian in a district tournament play-in game at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 5, at Oak Harbor High School.

Bellevue Christian (5-7-1), the fourth-place team from the Nisqually League, defeated the Wolves 7-4 on March 30 in a non-league match. Coupeville, however, played the match without starting goalkeeper Connor McCormick.

The winner of the Coupeville-BC match plays Vashon Island (8-2-4), the runner-up in the Nisqually League, at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at Kentridge High School in another loser-out game.

That winner goes to Silverdale at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, to face Olympic League champion Klahowya (14-1-1) in the first round of the double elimination portion of the tournament.

Coupeville (2-4, 5-8-1) closed out the regular season at Klahowya Tuesday, May 3, and the Eagles did something no other team did against the Wolves this season — shut them out, winning 4-0.
