Missing a chance to move into second place in the Wesco North 3A tennis standings, Oak Harbor High School lost 4-3 to visiting Everett Tuesday, April 23.

The Seagulls (4-6, 5-8) held onto second and dropped Oak Harbor (2-7, 3-9) into a tie for third with Marysville Getchell (2-7, 3-9) and a half game up on Marysville Pilchuck (2-8, 2-11).

Against Everett, Oak Harbor received its wins from fourth singles Faith Franssen 6-3, 6-3; first doubles Chelsea Admire/Jamie Estrella 6-2, 6-2; and third doubles Brittany Rigby/Caterina Amsler 6-3, 7-5.

Hannah Gluth/Mollie Briddell (8-0) and Dallas Breilein/Reilly Richards (8-5) won exhibition doubles matches.

Other results:

Singles: 1, Makenzie Perry lost 6-1, 6-2; 2, Chelsea Atkinson lost 6-2, 6-0; Kyla McKinney lost 6-2, 6-1.

Doubles: 2, Zena Husler/Alyssa Eden lost 6-4, 7-7(6).

The Wildcats head to first-place Stanwood (8-1, 11-1) at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
