The Chetzemoka started making trips across Admiralty Inlet with the 2:15 p.m. sailing from Port Townsend and the 3 p.m. sailing from Coupeville terminal at Keystone Harbor.

The 64-car ferry had been out of service since 8:45 a.m. Motorists had to take the Mukilteo/Clinton route and the Edmonds Kingston ferry route to travel to the Olympic Peninsula.

The National Weather Service is reporting wind gusts in the Central Whidbey area reached as high as 47 miles per hour Wednesday morning.
