Two people were hurt in separate incidents in Oak Harbor when drivers ran into pedestrians last week.
On April 22, a 27-year-old Oak Harbor woman was turning from Southeast Cabot Drive onto State Highway 20 when she struck a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
The driver was issued an infraction for failing to yield to a pedestrian, said Chief Ed Green.
On Monday, an 83-year-old Oak Harbor woman traveling east onto Whidbey Avenue turned north onto Oak Harbor Street and struck a woman in the crosswalk.
The driver left the scene but was later located and charged with hit and run. The victim suffered significant injuries, Green said.
