Taxes: Tax increase endangers state

Just as the economy of this state is recovering from a serious and prolonged economic decline, the irresponsible politicians in Olympia have devised another scheme to bring it back to its knees.

Just as the economy of this state is recovering from a serious and prolonged economic decline, the irresponsible politicians in Olympia have devised another scheme to bring it back to its knees. This is the same politically corrupt crowd that gave us a record deficit of over $1 billion, the second highest in the nation!

It should come as no surprise that the Gregoire administration, with its socialist agenda, wasted no time in hiking taxes. To add “insult to injury,” they pushed this oppressive gas tax through during a time of record high prices at the gas pump. It seems they have no concern for the vast number of workers, charities and trucking businesses this 9.5 cents per gallon tax will adversely affect.

It is beyond my comprehension that the voters in this state, after nearly 25 years of “tax and spend” Democratic rule, cannot understand the economically destructive policies these politicians force us all to endure. Until we actively reject these oppressive policies, the very future of this glorious Washington State and all its citizens will remain in serious jeopardy.
