Swim: Oak Harbor dominates in win over Everett

Winning nine of 10 events, the Oak Harbor swim and dive team spanked Everett 121-33 at the Forest Park Pool Tuesday, Oct. 5.

The only event Oak Harbor did not win, the 200 freestyle, was captured by Coupeville’s Rachel Weinstein in 2:16.5.

Ciara Hu (100 butterfly, 1:05.8; 500 free, 5:54.69) and Akasha Trisler (200 individual medley, 2:26.46; 100 backstroke, 1:10:86) each won two individual events.

Hu and Trisler also swam on the winning 200 free relay team with Karina Concepcion and Tori Nickerson (1:57.5).

Concepcion took the 50 free (28.35), Kennedy Trisler the 100 free (1:05.75) and Tricia Desquitado the 100 breaststroke (1:22.47).

Desquitado joined sister Therese and Irysh Concepcion and Angela Johnson to win the 200 medley relay (2:25.15).

Diving and the 400 free relay (ran out of time) were not contested.

Oak Harbor hosts Stanwood tonight, Oct. 6, at 6 p.m. at John Vanderzicht Pool.
