Oak Harbor Police may have solved a recent series of burglaries at Oak Harbor storage facilities, according to Capt. Rick Wallace.

Police recently served a warrant at an Oak Harbor home and recovered a large amount of property that had been stolen from the storage sheds.

They arrested a 27-year-old man on suspicion of five counts of burglary, second-degree possession of stolen property and possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.

His roommate, a 24-year-old woman, was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property in the second degree and possession with intent to deliver meth and pot.

Wallace said investigators believe the man was involved in five separate burglaries of Oak Harbor area storage businesses this November. Yet he added that detectives are “fairly confident” that more people were involved.

In addition, Wallace said officers so far have recovered about half of the stolen items. “We’re in the process of trying to match the owners with their property,” he said.
