Reader enjoys new format

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Thank you for the new format of the Whidbey News-Times. Size 12 by 14 inches is just right for ease of reading in almost any case. Yes, I have “on-line” access, but that is not ease of reading for me. The paper printed copy can go with me anywhere I choose to read my paper, and I don’t have to waste Internet time waiting for it to download, nor wait for the “WNT” to print out, on who knows how many pieces (pages) of paper.

As to the content, or amount of “news” in the News-Times, has anyone complaining looked at the content size of the Seattle Times or Post-Intelligencer lately? I notice how thin they are now. As to the amount or type of news? No paper can print what it doesn’t know about, and to afford to print the paper at all, a large staff of roaming reporters is out of the question. We need people who see items that may be newsworthy to call the WNT and let them know what’s out there, or just what happened.

At least we get the news twice a week, and not just once. Many communities only see a local paper once a week, if at all.
