Police respond to possible gang threat at Whidbey General Hospital

Monday, July 20

11:59 a.m., a caller on Northeast Pennington Loop reported someone loosened the lug nuts on her vehicle.

3:19 p.m., a caller reported a dog was in a vehicle on North Main Street.

Wednesday, July 22

10:37 a.m., a caller at Whidbey General Hospital needed assistance with a patient who got out of his restraints.

7:16 p.m., a caller on North Main Street reported receiving a fraudulent email from the FBI saying it had crates of money being held.

Thursday, July 23

11:40 a.m., a caller requested a welfare check on a male on South Main Street.

10:13 p.m., a caller reported a boat lost power and couldn’t get out of neutral. It was tied up, but the owner was unable to remove it from the water.

Friday, July 24

9:28 a.m., a caller at Whidbey General Hospital reported a patient left after discharge, hit a door and stated “I’m going to bring Cali back in here.” The caller felt the statement was gang slang in California.

Saturday, July 25

11:28 a.m., a caller on Northwest First Street reported two males and a female were in a field yelling at cars on State Highway 20.
