Come to the Coupeville Community Green Saturday during the farmers market and help become a part of the town’s historical record. The Coupeville Community Portrait will be taken at noon.

Whidbey Island photographer Paul Skinner will be capturing the annual portrait from a drone, as was done the previous year.

The community portrait will be published in the “I Love Coupeville” pages in the Sept. 15 edition of The Whidbey Examiner.

Historically, the portrait has been taken in coordination with the Coupeville Farmers Market and the Coupeville Nonprofit Fair. However, the Nonprofit Fair will not be happening Saturday.

“We are taking a year off from the Nonprofit Fair,” said Mayor Molly Hughes, who organizes the event each year. “We are, however, updating the Nonprofit Resource Guide and will be printing another run to have available in the community.”
