Oak Harbor resident William Burnett, a harsh critic of numerous politicians, business owners and of the Whidbey News Group newspapers, filed a lawsuit Tuesday seeking “injunctive relief” for the removal of Kelly Emerson as chairwoman of the Island County Commissioners. The lawsuit, filed in Island County Superior Court, names the county commission and commissioners Jill Johnson and Helen Price-Johnson and is seeking to reinstate Emerson as chair.
