Marine Resources Committee seeks four for open board seats

Up to four seats will be available on the Island County Marine Resources Committee come Dec. 31, and the county’s board of commissioners is inviting interested applicants to request appointment.

Up to four seats will be available on the Island County Marine Resources Committee come Dec. 31, and the county’s board of commissioners is inviting interested applicants to request appointment.

The committee’s goal is to protect and restore marine life, habitat and water quality along the county’s shoreline through research, restoration and education. Members on the 16-member volunteer advisory group serve three-year terms.

The committee meets the first and third Tuesday afternoons of each month in Coupeville.
