One week after moving to the Au Sable Institute, the telephone line and public computer access at the Coupeville Public Library is restored.

The Au Sable Institute, located on Parker Road near the intersection with Highway 20, is the temporary home of the library while the permanent building on Alexander Street is renovated and expanded. When the move was complete, officials found that the telephone system and the pubic Internet didn’t function. Workers finally installed service to the Au Sable building Wednesday.

Library officials had a cell phone number available to contact librarians, however, with phone service restored, patrons can now call 678-4911 to reach staff at the Coupeville Library.

The library project is expected to last six to nine months.
