At 10:21 a.m., a caller reported that “squatters” on Vesper Road were taking a pole barn apart. The barn is “slowly disappearing.”

At 1 p.m., a Cabrini Court resident reported that he returned from vacation to find a neighbor stole his medical marijuana and grow equipment and “got rid of it.”

At 11:05 a.m., a caller from an Oklahoma casino reported that a wanted sex offender from Island County was working there.

At 2:30 p.m., there was a report that squatters “stripped a shop” and were outside with a bottle of whiskey.

At 8 p.m., the Navy Search and Rescue reported that they were doing “night ops” at the Rhododendron Park.

At 11:45 p.m., a caller on Maxwelton Road said he needed someone to pick him up and take him to jail.

Saturday, Jan. 17

At 1:20 a.m., a caller reported that her son picked up a hitchhiker on the highway at Swantown Road and brought him home.

At 1:45 a.m., a burglary attempt was reported on Oak Harbor Road. The resident heard a large thud and found a piece of window broken in the bathroom.

At 9:09 a.m., a dead goat was reported on East Fakkema Road.
