The following items were selected from reports made to the Oak Harbor Police Department:

Monday, Oct. 6

At 9:12 a.m., a caller reported a theft from a foreclosed home on SE Sixth Avenue.

At 9:56 a.m., there were reports of traffic lights out at multiple intersections in Oak Harbor.

At 12:35 p.m., a caller reported that someone left an old suitcase on SE Bayshore Drive.

At 1:01 p.m., a caller reported that a man was on top of a woman and choking her on S. Oak Harbor Street.

At 3:27 p.m., a school district employee reported that a first-grader and a kindergartner were brought back to school by a bus because the parents were not home.

At 3:42 p.m., a caller reported seeing a rainbow sheen on the water and a diesel smell at the marina.

At 8:35 p.m., there was a report of people having a party, drinking, vomiting and driving away on SE Eighth Avenue.

At 8:39 p.m., a SW Castilian Drive resident reported her boyfriend tried to choke her.

Sunday, Oct. 5

At 12:06 p.m., a man at a Highway 20 store reported that a woman stole prescription medicine from his pocket. The man described the woman as “freaky looking like all the women in the town.”

At 5:54 p.m., a SE Glencoe Street resident reported that a disabled woman at the home said she is scared and needs help. The caller said he cannot understand what she is trying to tell him.

At 8:59 p.m., a caller reported that a suspicion woman was taking photos of her 3-year-old son and a girlfriend’s daughter at the Navy library.

At 11:12 p.m., a NE Sixteenth Avenue resident reported someone prowling around her apartment. She said she went outside for a smoke and went back to find “some type of smiling figure facing her door.”

Saturday, Oct.

At 10:20 a.m., a S. Beeksma Drive resident reported finding a baggie of marijuana on the beach near S. Beeksma Drive.

At 1:06 p.m., a woman reported that a man came up to her car and banged on the window while she was parked on SW Erie Street. The man said he was a deputy and told her to get off the cell phone.

At 10:03 p.m., young woman on Goldie Street reported being assaulted by another woman. The woman bit the caller’s finger and caused a fairly deep cut. The police investigated and sent information about the case to the prosecutor for possible charges.

Friday, Oct. 3

At 7:07 a.m., a caller reported finding a large box with two black pipes with tape at the end outside of the back door of the cinema.

At 8:56 a.m., a caller reported finding a small baggie of marijuana on SW Sixth Avenue.

At 2:59 p.m., a caller reported being harassed by another student via

MySpace.

At 3:41 p.m., a parent reported her 10-year-old daughter was assaulted by two boys and a girl while walking home on E. Whidbey Avenue. They stomped on her leg, pushed her to the ground and kicked her.

At 5:20 p.m., a caller reported that a man mooned her daughter as the school bus turned into a parking lot on Highway 20.

At 9:59 p.m., a woman reported her intoxicated husband was missing after walking from a party on N. Oak Harbor Street.

Thursday, Oct. 2

At 8:39 a.m., there was a report that a building on SE Pioneer Way was “chalked” with graffiti.

At 9:02 p.m., a SW Kimball Drive resident reported that the apartment was flooding from an upstairs apartment. The water was coming through the ceiling.

At 10:06 p.m., a girl on NE Barron Drive reported that someone was hurting her mom.

Tuesday, Sept. 30

At 8:05 a.m., a Wal-Mart employee reported that a man was in the store after being “trespassed.” The man opened his jacket and showed a knife to an employee and whispered something unintelligible. Later, the man returned to the store.

At 8:22 a.m., a SE Glencoe Street resident reported that someone left a dead shark on her front porch.
