I wish to take the opportunity to express my gratitude to all the generous people who played a part in making the 2008 Oak Harbor Garden Club Tour and Tea a great “sun shining” success.

Thanks to: All the club members who gave their time and efforts in the planning and management of our 10th anniversary event, to all of the seven garden owners who were kind enough to open their properties to us all, and to the many people who chose to tour the beautiful garden sites.

Thanks go to the following businesses who assisted with ticket sales: The Greenhouse Nursery, Mailliard’s Landing, Hummingbird Farm, Horse Tales Nursery, Bay Leaf and the Chamber of Commerce. Also, thanks to Whidbey Printers for their fine printing work. We also thank the Whidbey News-Times for the excellent coverage of the pending event.

The funds raised will benefit our community in many ways. We want everyone to be prepared for another wonderful Tour and Tea event in 2009.
