I’ve known Debbie Van Pelt for about four years. I don’t know her as a clerk but as a wonderful person. As a friend, I’ve been to her home several times. They are a wonderful loving family. She has two sons, one in the Navy and another in Oak Harbor High School. Her husband is a career Navy man.

Debbie wants this Island County clerk job very much and I know she will put all she has into it. She is honest, responsible, has organization skills, gets along well and most important and necessary, she has experience.

After working five years in the clerk’s office she knows what needs to be done, knows how to do it and is willing to make any necessary changes. Would you trust a mechanic without any experience to work on your car? Then why would you want someone untrained and inexperienced for any position?
