Coupeville Lions Club collects donations for garage sale

The Coupeville Lions Club continues to collect good, usable items for “The Biggest and Best Garage Sale in our World,” coming up on July 3 and 4. Although they can’t use everything, donations of a wide variety of goods are welcome. Funds raised from donated items go back into the community as support to many projects and needs through Lions.

Volunteers will be filling the Coupeville Elementary School Multipurpose Room with everything from toys and books to electronics and furniture. In fact, the aisle ways near classrooms and the covered play area are filled with items that will sure to catch the eye of the penny-pinching shopper.

In recent years, the garage sale has raised as much as $30,000 and the money has helped such community groups as the Boys and Girls Club and the Boy Scouts.

Your donation is much appreciated and may be tax deductible. Call 678-4105, 678-0382, or 679-2735 to arrange a pickup. Leave a message.
