Coupeville Chamber of Commerce launched its new website after months of work and review.

“I love it,” said Lynda Eccles, chamber director. “I think it provides a lot more information for not only visitors, but locals.”

The new website project started in September and Eccles said it’s a work in progress.

The new website offers easier access for administrators to add information.

“It’s an ongoing project for us,” she said. “There’s daily adding (of information).”

Some features Eccles said she likes are that businesses can now submit an event directly to the chamber and there is also a members-only section.

Chambers members can submit items to the calendar online for review and approval.

Eccles said one feature she really likes is the calendar is linked directly to Island County Tourism’s website.

The chamber is still working with businesses to strengthen information provided.

“It’s been interesting to see it develop. It was fun to watch our thoughts go from paper to website.”
