Art & About

Here's what's happening in the Whidbey Island arts scene.

ROB SCHOUTEN GALLERY presents “Glass,” an exhibit featuring works by glass artists Robert Adamson, Katrina Hude and Steph Mader through Oct. 3. This exhibition demonstrates some of the diversity and innovation in contemporary art glass in the region. Adamson is showing his newest work — handblown vessels from his “Broken Fence Series.” Hude’s glass work combines her mastery of old-world glass techniques with an exuberant eye for color and fine design. Hude has mastered the art of murrini, and is also an expert at cane working. Mader is known for fused glass landscapes. The gallery is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For information, call 360-222-3070 or email info@robschoutengallery.com
