Annual car show canceled because of COVID-19

Yet another yearly even is canceled due to COVID-19.

The Whidbey Island Car Show, which was scheduled for Aug. 1, won’t be happening this summer.

Instead, organizers said the board of directors is looking for another event for car enthusiasts to show off their vehicles that would keep both drivers and spectators from catching the virus.

The annual car show is usually held on the Whidbey Island Fairgrounds in Langley. Proceeds go to Whidbey charities. Event activities include breakfast, lunch and dessert.
