There’s a little something for everyone at the concert “Seattle Comes to Oak Harbor,” this Saturday.

The three act show combines the intimacy of seeing award-winning musicians play solo with the freshness of an ever-evolving indie rock band. The evening’s song list includes classical, jazz, swing and folk rock compositions.

The concert will open with the Seattle Freelance Soloists, made up of four accomplished musicians. Among the soloists is Whidbey native Teo Benson, a 1997 graduate of Coupeville High School and current member of the Tacoma Symphony Orchestra. Pianist Sachi Patricia Hirakouji, Dyla Rieck, a concerto competition winner, and Miodrag Veselinovic of the Federal Way Symphony Orchestra will also take the stage.

The second act is described as “acoustic chamber rock” and musicians offer original compositions. The newly formed group is named the Seattle Freelance Trio.

Benson will return with the band “The Crying Shame” in Act Three, a popular indie folk-rock band from Seattle. The band claims inspiration from Lou Reed, Hank Williams and Muddy Waters.

The show begins at 7 p.m. at the Oak Harbor High School Student Union Building auditorium. Tickets can be purchased at Click Music, Angelo’s, and Whidbey Printers in Oak Harbor; Windermere Real Estate in Coupeville; Watermark Books in Anacortes; and BookBay in Freeland. The special event supports the Boys and Girls Club.
