There will be a special concert at 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 26, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeland. Trinity’s musical director and Brothers Four member, Karl Olsen, will welcome two of his partners from the group, Mark Pearson and Mike McCoy, as well as keyboardist Ted Brancato.

The evening will feature songs from three new CD’s. The Brothers Four’s latest, “Golden Anniversary,” contains new performances of familiar songs and celebrates 50 years of bringing “The American Songbook” to the world. Pearson, who joined The Brothers Four in the late 60’s, and McCoy, who became a member in 2004, are celebrating 45 years of friendship and making music together with their latest CD of original songs, “Between Old Friends.”

The third new CD, Pearson’s “Following the Light,” contains 23 new songs, was recorded at Brancato’s New Jersey studio, and features Paul Prestopino, longtime accompanist for Peter, Paul, and Mary and The Chad Mitchell Trio.

This night of songs and stories from this special band of brothers weaves together the stages of a lifetime, of friendships, and of an enduring musical partnership.

Trinity Lutheran Church is located at 18341 Highway 525 at the corner of Woodard and the highway. A goodwill offering will gladly be accepted. Half of the money from CD sales will go toward earthquake relief in Haiti.
