Who decided to put carnival by a ‘hole’ | Letter

Well, it appears common sense went out the window for this year’s celebration, and by that I mean who would put a carnival and vendors in a park next to a huge hole in the ground and Mount Oak Harbor in the parking lot?

Editor,

Well, it appears common sense went out the window for this year’s celebration, and by that I mean who would put a carnival and vendors in a park next to a huge hole in the ground and Mount Oak Harbor in the parking lot?

Wasn’t Pioneer Way made one way in order for the downtown to be utilized?

What a waste, the street could have been closed and set up much the way Holland Happening is now conducted with the carnival at the corner of Pioneer and Midway, vendors spread out along the street so people would walk through and merchants would make money.

If we’re not going to use the area as promised, why was it done in the first place?
