We’re alive and helping

We would first like to thank the entire community for their continued support of North Whidbey Help House. We could not feed those in need without your help. So, that leads to why we are writing this letter. Apparently there are many rumors circulating about Help House closing down because of various reasons. That statement could not be further from the truth.

We have fed over 12,300 people through October and have already taken over 450 applications for Thanksgiving food baskets. The food baskets aren’t necessarily as full as they have been in the past because our food supplies have been stretched. However, in the 32 years Help House has been in operation, we have never had to close our doors due to a lack of food.

So, next time you hear the Help House will be closing down, please give us a call at 675-0681, or stop by during normal office hours, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon, and 1 to 4 p.m. We’ll offer you a cup of coffee, answer any questions you may have and even give you the nickel tour.
