‘Poor Joe,’ blaming others for decisions | Letter

Editor,

I was reading Ken Pickard’s letter to the editor in the July 20 edition of the Whidbey News-Times. I felt sorry for buyer Joe. How so many people and organizations got together and denied Joe of vital information about the purchase of property.

With so many people conspiring, as Mr. Pickard indicated, looks like Joe has a case for the U.S. Supreme Court. While Joe was looking over the possibility of moving to Whidbey Island, vehicle traffic increased beyond belief. All those big long haul trucks running through here 24/7 spitting out their diesel exhaust and polluting the air.

So Joe decided not to settle on Whidbey. While in a nice, noise-free location having a cup of coffee prior to moving elsewhere, Joe heard about COER, and the efforts they were making to try to get someone to pay for their investments. Here is a good chance to invest in some land and hope a big lawsuit will generate a nice return on a small investment.

Off Joe goes to find an agent that will sell him a nice piece of that big gamble. It’s worth a try. For a small investment, Joe could be rich.

Yep, a lot of things could happen if enough people are blamed for Joe’s investment. Poor Joe, like so many people, their problems are the fault of others.
