1. Approximately 40 percent business failure and little recovery.

2. Moderate construction costs compared to Oak Harbor.

3. The mistake still haunts Bellingham’s economy. Fairhaven is replacing downtown commerce and residential demand.

Oak Harbor’s citizens need to retire their mayor and several members of the council this year.
