No second guessing

This letter is in response to Render Denson from Coupeville in the Sound Off article on Saturday, May 26. First of all my friend, the war as you call it has been over since we ran the Taliban out of Afghanistan. Then we killed Saddam Husseim, his brothers, both evil sons and captured 51 of the 52 deck of cards of the most wanted terrorists. Mission complete!

What we are fighting at this time is gang-related deaths from the insurgents. In Compton, Calif., alone, there were over 70 gang deaths in 2006. There are literally thousands of deaths each year related to gangs and drugs in this country. So Mr. Denson, if we can’t protect our own citizens on our own turf in our own country how do you expect our military to handle this?

I’m sick and tired of you bleeding heart liberals demeaning our military and causing people to believe these brave soldiers have died in vain. One thing I have noticed is the media never shows what the men and women in the military have to say. The only ones they talk to are the bloated politicians with nothing but political aspirations and people like you that are second guessing.

I don’t want to hear from someone that the soldiers are afraid to speak the truth as they might come under fire from their C.O.
